More photos!

It was so important to me to get pictures done of Emmie and me... I couldn't miss this last chance to get those priceless shots!

My SIL Missy was a huge help again. I had my looooong wish list of poses and got the makeshift studio all set up and the camera ready to go. Then she put her magic touch on perfecting each pose (I asked if I had a fat chin like 1000 times) and played baby-spotter. THANKS again Missy!

Once we got the mama and baby shots, I took a few of the kids... and managed to capture just about the most swoon-worthy sibling photo I've ever seen (if I may say so myself) --- a beautiful image of my 3 kids together all looking gorgeous?! Unheard of... it's almost impossible to do for a client, but ask any photographer and they will confirm that the odds are about a million to one of catching those perfect shots of our OWN kids. I wish I had hundreds of dollars to purchase a 30x40 canvas of this photo... but I will at least splurge on a huge print and a nice format frame!

Thursday -- Daddy and baby shots

Next week -- if I can convince Missy to go for round 3 -- maybe a shoot for our whole family of 5???

First... my favorite!

Tee Shirts!

I searched high and low for cute big/little brother/sister shirts.

I found a lot of cute ones, but was unwilling to throw down $60+ for 3 shirts.

SO! I made my own. :)

Can't wait to have our littlest princess in her "baby sis" version... I'll be sending the bigs to Granny's so they can be worn to the hospital when the kids come to meet her!

Project 365 -- Dress Up

Sopes got her new dress in the mail today...

no special occasion, but sometimes I find these on a really good deal and snatch them up for dress-up!

Shockingly, she loves it... and this is one of my new fave pics now.

ANOTHER Snow Day

Took a couple pics of Sopes in the snow... I am so not feeling it this go-round so I just stuck my head out and took a couple lol...

Project 365

Go me... I actually got the camera out during the day and took a few pics!

This one is my favorite but I couldn't resist posting the rest. She was really in the mood to pose today!

I've made these click-to-enlarge so if you want to see the full size view click away!

Project 365

Well I missed a couple days of Project 365... guess I need to get in groove of it still.

Playing around with my lighting today, trying to get a high key look without paying for the high key studio... it's not easy, and I'm not really happy with the outcome.

I'm REALLY not happy with my zoom lens, which seems to have a mind of its own about what to focus on regardless of what I tell it to do. FRUSTRATING!

Tomorrow, I go light shopping.

This represents the best of the lot from today... at least Sophie looks cute!

Project 365

I found out about this on day 6 of the year, but better late than never...

Very cool concept -- take at least 1 photo every day, and you'll have an amazing chronicle by the end of the year.

Today I started kinda late, so I picked my 2 favorite subjects and took some quick shots.

I imagine that starting in April there will be a LOT of baby pictures in my year. ;)

Still figuring out my new 85mm lens. It's like looking through a telescope! I'm not used to having to be sooo far away from my subject. It makes framing the shot a whole new experience. I think it will be better for outdoors. I took these with my Speedlite on auto, and I'm going to put my camera settings on all these project pics for my own reference. :)
